Pulse: Virtual-Economy Health Monitor
AI agents profile economy vital signs, detect inflation, whale, and RMT anomalies, and recommend stress-tested interventions
Problem statement
Free-to-play economies destabilize quietly: soft-currency inflation, whale concentration, and real-money-trading rings build up in aggregate metrics before they surface as churn and lost trust. Pulse reads a game's player-economy event log, profiles its vital signs, flags and classifies the top anomalies, and recommends a ranked, stress-tested intervention. The demo runs on a synthetic economy.
Run Demo is an analysis of the default sample economy.
Run Demo (Alternate Dataset) replays the same economy for now; alternate economies (whale concentration, RMT ring) arrive in a later milestone.
Sample dataset & assumptions
Data: a synthetic free-to-play player-economy event log, ~3,000 accounts over 12 monthly buckets, across new / core / veteran segments, plus an account-to-account trade graph
Per account / month: currency earned (faucet), currency spent (sink), end-of-month balance, real-money spend (USD), active days
Vital signs: sink/source ratio, whale concentration (Gini), currency inflation, churn-risk cohort %, conversion funnel
Integrity substrate: the trade graph drives NetworkX real-money-trading (RMT) ring detection
Healthy bands are stated F2P norms (Newzoo / GameAnalytics-style), surfaced and tunable per title.
